Sharon Urban Brown, 80, passed away on September 11, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on December 20, 1942 in Topeka, KS to Milfred Wayne and Helen Louise (Coughlin) Urban. Sharon was an RN and retired from the VA , retired from Ascension Via Christi Good Shepherd, studied at WSU and studied business at UWEC in Eau Claire, WI. Sharon also attended Mt. Carmel High School. She also authored 4 children's books of which she was proud. Proceeded in death by brother Wayne Urban. Sharon is survived by her sons: John Brown and Greg Brown (Stacy Shanahan); brothers: Terry and wife Susie and Rick and wife Lisa Urban; sisters: Vicki and husband Lew Bird and Jane Urban; grandson: Gregory Sean Brown (Tracy) and 2 great grandchildren: Grayson Brown and Birdie Brown. Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023; Celebration of Life Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023, both at Hillside Funeral Home West. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Reception will follow at Evergreen Park Recreation Center 2700 N Woodland, from 12:30-4:30.
