She was born on May 30, 1937, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late Carl and Elizabeth (Crossman) Hartmann.
She spent much of her life caring for others as a Registered Nurse at both the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven as well as the VA Hospital In West Haven.
