Born in Baltimore, MD, she grew up in Atlantic City and Oceanville before settling in Galloway 68 years ago.
Prior to retiring, she was the Executive Secretary to the President of South Jersey Gas Company, where she worked for 35 years.
Fran spent her whole life collecting angels because she was one. She was the family matriarch and acted as a second mother to her siblings. Her home was where the family gathered to make memories that will be forever cherished. She epitomized unconditional love and was whole-heartedly devoted to her family. Fran's generosity was unrivaled and would do anything to help those she loved - not out of necessity, but out of the kindness that she exuded every day of her life.
Fran was predeceased by her beloved Charlie, her soulmate and love of her life; her parents, Betty and Bill Toland (aka "Pop"); her brothers, Ronnie and John Toland; her sister, Jeanne Cohn; and her niece, Jeanine Rinaldi.
Surviving is her son, Bill Goodwin; her siblings: Joyce (Steve) Van Scoy, William Toland, and Betty Toland; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Toland and Jeanne Rinaldi; her nieces and nephews: Melodie (Kevin) Herron, Eric (Brenda) Cohn, John (Sara) Toland, Katelyn (Mike Fedeli) Toland, Michael (Madeleine) Toland, Ian Taylor, and Vinny and Sal Rinaldi; great-nieces and nephew: Bethanie (Sean), Shana, Liam Eric, Noah, William, Jaxson, Valerie, Kallie, Mario, Charlie, and Clarissa; 2 great-great nieces, Norah and Fiona; and a special cousin, Lynda Carty. She also leaves behind her precious kitties: Ash, Atti, Tommy, and Bella. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 10am-12pm at the Wimberg Funeral Home, Galloway, NJ with a service at the funeral home at 12pm. Interment will be held at Leeds Point Cemetery.
