It is with sadness that Elizabeth’s friends announce her passing on November 20, 2019.
Born in North Bay, Ontario, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1962.
During Elizabeth’s career in Calgary, she was employed by Consolidated Concrete and in 1970, she joined Abacus Cities where she worked as an Executive Assistant until 1979. After her retirement, Elizabeth was able to pursue her love of travel for a number of years. She was a lover of the arts and attended many symphony, ballet and theatre performances with her friends. A voracious reader, Elizabeth was a delightful conversationalist, always loving to share her views on current events and politics.
Elizabeth resided at the Trinity Retirement Centre for the last six years where she made many close friends. She loved the special care and attention she received there. Generous, witty, sometimes irascible and fiercely independent until the end, Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of life will be held in Calgary in January.
