Without trying, he would take over a room with his unmatched wit, smarts, stories and humor. He was a man’s man who loved the outdoors, fishing, sailing and traveling. He was also incredibly imaginative and creative with a love of music and art. He was undoubtedly the most interesting man in the world. Chooch will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Rich was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Collins; father, Jim Collins; mother, Betty Collins; brothers, Michael, Marty, and Jimmy Collins. He is survived by his brother, Kent Collins and wife Mary Lynn; sister, Elizabeth Collins; sister-in-law, Beverly Collins; nephews, Justin, Danny, Gregory, Adam, and Jimmy; nieces, Jessica, Michelle, and Sara; great nephews, Liam, Tommy, Aiden and Colin; great nieces, Michaela, Kentlee and Collins; countless other relatives and his amazing friends.
The Collins family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rich’s honor to the Phoenix Art Museum’s Children Education Program.
