On Monday, January 20, 2020 Eva Dailey Karr, passed away at the age of 84. She was born June 8, 1935 in West Blocton, Alabama to Clay and Melissa (Hall) Dailey. Eva had eight beloved siblings. Eva married the love of her life, Bennie Karr, also from West Blocton, Alabama. On April 16, 1959 they became loving parents to a precious son, Bennie Randall Karr. Eva and Ben were the most devoted and loving grandparents to their only grandchild, Brittany (Karr) Brock whom they loved and supported throughout her life. They also had 4 great-granddaughters whom they loved and spoiled accordingly.
Eva was devoted to her family and to the Lord. Eva was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and served faithfully in many ministries. Notably, Eva participated in the Church Choir for many years and dearly loved her Sunday School Class. She spent the majority of her adulthood living in Atlanta, Georgia but was always faithful to her home state of Alabama.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Karr, her son, Randy Karr, and siblings; Alvis Morrison (Lindsay), Clarence “Buddy” Dailey (Juanita), Billie Dailey, Travis Dailey, Belle Mckenzie, and Novis Edmundson. She is survived by her Granddaughter, Brittany Brock (Shea), Great-Granddaughters; Ava, Amelia, Charlotte, and Emma Brock, Sisters; Doris Hofer and Shirley Lance, and many nieces and nephews all whom she dearly loved.
A funeral will be held for Eva Karr on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Johns Ridout’s Mortuary Elmwood Chapel at 2pm, interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
