Of Jackson Michigan, passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 17, 2020 at the age of 88. Ollie was born in Jackson on January 25, 1932 to parents Newt and Willie Mae Cole. He married the love of his life Juanita Williams in Stockbridge. Ollie worked for Dana Corporation for 43 years as a laborer. He also spent summers during high school working for the railroad and working at Dancers Department Store as a stocker. During high school he helped put sod down on the high school football field. He was an avid sports fan enjoying the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, he made friends everywhere he went. Ollie was a proud veteran serving our country in the United States Air Force from 1952-1955. Ollie is survived by his daughters Patti (Jim) Rogers and Cindy Cole; brothers-in law Harold WIlliams, Hardy (Jackie) WIlliams, Forrest (Jan) Williams, Jr., Darrell (Janna) Williams, Joe (Debbie) WIlliams), and Ron (Lee) Williams; his fur babies Bo and Cheddar; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Juanita, 8 siblings, and fur baby Sassy. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 406 First Street, Jackson. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:30 am at Northeast Mission Church, 903 Virginia St., Jackson with Pastor Darren Pettifor officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Cascades Humane Society or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. Per the CDC recommendations social distancing is required along with wearing face masks.
