David Craig Miles (Craig) was born on March 3, 1960. Craig loved the outdoors and spent time fishing, hunting, and tending to outdoor plants. Regardless of the weather, he would fish, hang out in a boat, drink beer, socialize with friends, and try to catch fish. A good portion of the time you would see Craig wearing camouflage; he loved to hunt using a rifle or bow for deer, turkey, quail, and pheasant. While skiing, Craig would look for a tree and spin around it; a kamikaze. Craig also enjoyed watching western movies. Craig was a true patriot, a brother in arms and an Army veteran. Craig was very compassionate and caring, generous, and could be very loving. He loved people and never met a stranger. On the flip side, he had very strong beliefs and never held back. He also liked to have a good time and tell jokes; Budweiser will feel Craig's passing. Craig was very proud of his nieces and nephews. He became a devout Christian later in life; I found many CDs of The Rock Brook Church sermons that gave him strength. Craig loved his dogs and Meehaw was by his side through his struggles. Craig passed on to his next adventure on August 26, 2020.
Craig is survived by his father Robert and wife Sharon; brother Dean and wife Jill; brother Kevin and wife Nicole; sister Elizabeth and husband Michael; nieces and nephews, great nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The visitation is from 1pm – 2pm CST on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Rock Brook Church; 1715 E 173rd Street, Belton, MO 64012. The funeral service will begin at 2pm. Join us to celebrate Craig’s life after the service at Paradise Bar & Grill at 3:30pm; 1100 N Scott Avenue, Belton, MO 64012.
