Mildred was born October 4, 1926 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Odis and Doshie Turnage.
Mildred married Raymond Golden in McCurtain County and stayed in love for 64 years. Mildred attended Marshall Hill School and traveled to many states picking fruits and vegetables. While living in Arkansas, she worked at a chicken factory and when they moved to Oklahoma City she worked for Ridgeview Elementary School. At Ridgeview she worked as the the cashier in the cafeteria for over 25 years and eventually retired from there. She was also a cashier attendant at Springlake Amusement park in the 1970's.
Mildred enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved camping and fishing at Lake Tenkiller. She was also a fan of gospel music and enjoyed playing and singing with family. She supported Charles Stanley and his ministries. Mildred was also big supporter of Billy Graham and in the 1980's when he came to Oklahoma City she was able to sing in his choir during the show. During the Halloween season, she loved to dress up and scare her grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by her children: Dale & Pat Golden of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Sesher of Oklahoma City, Freda & Don Smith of Edmond, OK; grandchildren: Lisa Golden, Chris Golden, Jason Sesher, Amy & Chris Rachel, Sherri & Bruce Johns; great-grandchildren: Christian Golden, Landon Ferguson, Kylie Golden, Bradley McGraw, Courtlyn Brown, Katelyn Brown, Abigail Johns, Jessica Anderson, Allison Brown, Maddox Sesher, Charlie & Christopher Rachel, Brooklyn Golden; great-great-granchildren: Jade Sorto, Josh McGraw, Hadley Seagrove, Kamryn & Kylin Roberts, Avery Holcomb.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Golden; her parents, Odis and Doshie Turnage; sisters, Mertie Taylor and Pauline Minor; daughter, Linda Kay Golden; son, Dennis Golden; and granddaughters, Angela Anderson and Madison Rachel.
