Gail Barbara Wiersma, 77, of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2020 at Bayfront Health Seven Rivers Medical Center, Crystal River, Florida. Gail was born on January 27, 1943 in Whitinsville, Massachusetts to Jenny (Chiras) Guyette and James J. Guyette, who preceeded her in death. She is also preceeded in death by her granddaughter, Naomi Neal, and her step-grandson, Kevin Wiersma, Jr.
Gail grew up in Whitinsville, Massachusetts and attended Northbridge High School. She was an active member of the Northbridge High School Class of 1961 Reunion Committee for many years. She greatly enjoyed using her exceptional organizational skills to ensure a good time for all her classmates and friends, hosting many meetings and gatherings in her home. Gail was also a member of the swim team at the Whitinsville Community Center throughout her high school years. Gail drove a school bus during the grade school years of her children, and all the students loved her and thought of her as a second Mom. Gail later worked in the administrative end of L.W. Tank Repair, Inc. in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, retiring to enjoy the beautiful home she shared with her loving Husband of 39 years, Leonard Wiersma. Gail enjoyed cooking for her family, travelling, gardening, boating, RVing, and antique car shows with her husband, Lenny. She was an interior designer at heart, and loved remodeling and always making things better and more beautiful. Her gardens were her pride and joy (aside from her family that is!) and she loved having large gatherings of family and friends around the pool in the Massachusetts summers. She recently moved with her Husband to Beverly Hills, Florida in 2019 and was looking forward to beautifying that home as a new challenge. She was always on the go, and always had a smile on her face. She was endeared by everyone who met her and she was always willing to give a helping hand.
Gail leaves cherished memories of her life with her four children: Michelle R. Cadorette, and her husband, Joseph of Douglas, Massachusetts; Michael R. Houle, of Northbridge, Massachusetts; Donna M. Elms of Warminster, PA; and Debra L.
