Charles married Dorothy Jenkins on April 30, 1955 in Pasadena, Texas. They had 3 children -Scott, Charlotte, and Paula. Of his birth family, he was the last man standing. He talked about that often. He had two great loves, his wife of 47 years and fishing.

The family would also like to acknowledge his friend Bambi and all of his buddies at the LaPorte pier. It was his happy place here on earth.
Charles was stubborn, feisty, loved to talk and could pack a car like nobody you ever saw before. He could fit a truckload of boxes and suitcases in the trunk of a Pontiac Catalina!
"A Fathers legacy is not riches, possessions, or worldly goods of any kind. It is the way he lived, the lives he touched, the promises he kept. It is the kind of man he was"
