

Yvonne is survived by her sons: R. Scott McMullan and Geoffrey Oslin, daughter-in-laws: Sarah Ashley McMullan and Kara Oslin, grandchildren: Mia Gabriella McMullan, Michael Tyler Scott McMullan, Kennedy Oslin, Parker Oslin, Xachary Oslin, and Jru Oslin, surrogate daughter: Mary Weeks, and surrogate grandson: Jalen Stewart.
Yvonne was preceded in death by former husband Dr. George Ronald McMullan.
Yvonne was born on April 8, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to Elgin P. Oslin & Geraldine Lillian Oslin. She was proud of the fact that she was childhood classmates with Gladys Knight and was a lifelong fan of her music. Midnight Train To Georgia was her favorite song! Yvonne had a talent for science and in 1964 won a National Science Award presented by Mrs. President Lyndon B. Johnson for her work on sickle cell disease. This led to a full academic scholarship to Emory University. Yvonne was one of the first four black women to graduate from Emory University & went on to become the first Black female staff clinical psychologist at the University of Maryland Counseling Center for over 40 years retiring in 2017.
Faith was always a big part of her life and now she is in paradise with Jesus.
A memorial service is scheduled from 10AM to Noon on Saturday June 28th, 2025 at

In her retirement speech Yvonne said, “ I am thankful for having a life with such wonderful people!”
