Miss Virginia Floy Nelson

Virginia was born in Clarks, Nebraska, on November 25, 1940.

She graduated from Independence High School in Independence, Iowa, in 1959.

Mrs. Nelson married her high school sweetheart, Daryl H. Nelson, on October 29, 1961.

Mrs. Nelson was a dedicated homemaker and, with her husband, owned and operated Nelson’s Auto Sales on Edgewater Drive for many years.

Mrs. Nelson was a member of Bear Lake United Methodist Church and had a deep love for quilting, painting, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daryl H. Nelson; her daughter, Stacy E. Nelson; her parents, Walter F. Rose Jr. and Marjorie Rose; and her sister, Myrtle Hanson.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Gerard; her son, Brian Nelson; her sisters, Lois Sloan, Elaine Gold, and her brother, Walter ‘Bud’ Rose; her son-in-law, Jeffrey Gerard; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Nelson; and grandchildren, Thomas, Stacy, Cassandra, Ashley, Brooke, Alison, Walker, Austin, and great-grandchildren, Sophie, Luke, Carter, and Aubrie.

A visitation will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Conway Funeral Home, 1413 S SEMORAN BLVD, ORLANDO, FL 32807, US, on May 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at Baldwin Fairchild Conway Funeral Home, 1413 S SEMORAN BLVD, ORLANDO, FL 32807, US, on May 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A committal service will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789, US, on May 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
