On Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Bethesda Dilworth, Kirkwood, MO. He was born on November 4, 1921 at Patterson, MO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ferne V. Allen (nee Howard) and brothers Stanley and Carl Allen; beloved father and father-in-law of Robert (Marilyn) Davis and Vickie (Chuck Daniel) Kimbrough; dear grandfather of Michael (Tamma) Davis, Matthew (Lisa) Davis, Nichole (John) Kemp, Julie (Kevin) Hobbs and Nathan (Sakiya) Daniel; dear great grandfather of Leslie, Braden, Savannah, Anna, Leanne, Lainie, Reagan, Ella, Lily and Hank and dear brother of Opal Smith. Victor served in WWII from 1942-1945 as a combat medic with the 157th Infantry. He received 3 Bronze Stars for battles in Rhineland, Northern France and Central Europe and was a Purple Heart recipient for wounds received in Germany. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 3500. Victor retired from the General Motors Plant in St. Louis after 30 years of service on February 2, 1980 and was a member of the UAW. Services: Visitation at HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson, Friday from 4-8:00 PM. Then at the Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, Missouri for visitation Saturday from 12:00-1:00 p.m., with Graveside Service immediately following at Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, MO.
