She was born on Dec. 14, 1947, in White Plains, NY, to Lorenz and Margaret (McGregor) Pisarra.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at the State University of New York, Oswego, NY, and her master’s degree at Albany State University in Albany, NY.
She was a teacher at Blindbrook Elementary School for thirty-five years.
She had moved to Matthews, NC, three years ago to be closer to childhood friends.
Miss Pisarra traveled to every continent but Antarctica.
A memorial service will be held in Charlotte. Following this, Miss Pisarra will be inurned at Ferncliff Cemetery in Greenburg, NY.
