Funeral services for Mrs. Evis Taylor, 94, of Gadsden, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel. The Revs. Bill Abbott and Mike Allum will officiate with burial to follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Taylor passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013.

She was a member of James Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis E. Taylor; parents, James and Laura Braddy; brothers, Curtis and Howard Braddy; and sisters, Margie Morris and Annie Dell Robertson.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Woods and Marilyn Taylor; grandchildren, Tony (Lois) Woods of Florida, and Tim (Mary) Woods of Texas; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Woods, Lauren Woods, and Katie Woods; sister, Hazel Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to James Memorial Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Riverview E.R., and the staff at McGuffey’s Healthcare.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
