Charlene Boyd

Charlene Boyd, 84, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on May 29, 2026 at Medilodge in Marshall. Born on November 20, 1941 in Chicago, IL, Charlene will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by all who knew her.

Charlene was born to Sol and Kay (Schwartz) Capitol, who preceded her in death. She married James Boyd, who also preceded her in death. Charlene was additionally preceded in death by a niece, Shanna; a nephew, Patrick; and a brother-in-law, Terry Sweeter.

Throughout her life, Charlene found joy in the simple, meaningful pleasures that bring people together. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, and BINGO, and she loved singing along to Oldies music. Most of all, Charlene cherished time spent with family, offering a steady presence and a warm spirit that will be deeply missed.

Charlene is survived by her sisters, Mindy Sweeter and Renee (Jack) Diamond; her nieces and nephews, Rebecca McKenzie, Billy (Sarah) Sweeter, Robert Sweeter, Troy Sweeter, April (Raymond) Edwards, Ilene Bailey, Ron (Jane) Goldberg, and Brian Diamond; and several great nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Charlene’s family will celebrate her life at Network Family Church, 13600 28 Mile Rd., Albion on Saturday, June 20, 2026 with family hour starting at 12pm until the time of service at 1pm with Pastor Bruce Johnson officiating. A dinner will follow the services at the church.
