Charles loved concerts and music, especially Prince, cooking, barbecues, hosting, Michigan football, his mother, spending time with friends and family and spoiling his beloved grandchildren. He collected comic books and Star Wars memorabilia.
Charles graduated from Everett High School in Lansing, Michigan in 1988. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Army. After his service, he dedicated 26 years to his job at General Motors that he enjoyed. He was a member of the UAW Local 652.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Flores and Michael Conner; his beloved mother, Dolores (Dennis) Flores-Wintersteen; grandchildren, Caiden Flores and Azariah Turner; sisters, Pamela Renee Davis, Lisa Marie (Clint) Adkins and Desiree Kelly (William) Strong and uncle, Jose Flores, Jr.; special friends, Quincy Jones, Raymond Harris, Tresha Gayley and Shannon Hodge and mentor and adopted Father, William "Fluffy" Funderberg.
He is preceded by his grandparents, Jose and Gloria Flores and Benny and Arlene Whitney; uncles, Ricardo Flores and Daniel Flores; special friend, Juan Hodge.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. Visitation will take place from 1:00PM – 2:00PM with a funeral service following 2:00PM. The family would like to invite guests to a luncheon following services, location to be announced. A memorial service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, MI at a later date.
