Liz was educated in the Alabama school system and she also attended Spaulding College of Business. While helping her sister Johnnie care for her children in Albion, Liz met a youngster by the name of John Edward, in January 1957 marrying him in the same year on October 16, 1957.

pressing and curling capabilities. Liz also loved to travel and spending time with her family. Liz was baptized at a young age at the Stone Street Baptist church in Mobile, Al under the leadership of Rev. Charles H. Tunstall. Upon relocating to Albion, she united with Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R.V. Davis. She served in several ministries, such as the Mission II, Missionary Society, Deaconess board, Senior choir and doing the church bulletins. In 1986 the Lord saw fit to call John to pastor the First Baptist Church of Idlewild and Liz reluctantly followed along because of her love for her husband but, foremost, for her love of God. In 2003 Liz and John moved back to their home in Albion after being gone for 17 years and re-united with Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles Magee.
In October 2016, Liz relocated to Milwaukee, WI alongside her husband and children. She joined Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. George Jolly.
