Fidel was an avid softball player in his younger years and enjoyed playing football, golf, basketball and bowling, among other sports. He loved playing cards with his family, with Euchre being one of his favorites. His church brothers and sisters were beloved friends and he loved his children and spending time with them whether at home or at the park. He was fond of traveling to Detroit or to Texas to visit loved ones. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan since the team’s inception in 1960. Fidel was a big fan of Elvis and often performed as Elvis in costume and sang karaoke.
Fidel is survived by his loving wife, Graciela Solis Gutierrez, children Jason, Eliseo (Patricia), Erika (Daniel), Anthony (Ashley), and Mark, grandchildren, Jason, Trinidy, Justin, Eliseo III, Emanuel, Marley, Wyatt, Josephine and Ailene Rose, great-grandchild, Jason III, sisters, Flora and Maria (Jim), brothers, David (Yolanda) and Rafael and many loving nieces and nephews.
Fidel is preceded in death by his children, Joseph and Javon, mother, Rafaela Gutierrez, brothers, Juan, Ismael and twin brother, Eleasar.
A visitation will be held at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion, Michigan 49224, on September 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A visitation will also be held at Christ Apostolic Church, 501 N. Superior St., Albion, MI 49224, on September 4, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery with military honors. The family would like to invite guests to a luncheon held at Christ Apostolic Church following interment.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gateway Pentecostal Church, 3905 Bradley Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80911, on September 12, 2026.
