Born April 23, 1941, in Oak Park, IL, Jim was the son of Arthur and Anna (Plasczyk) Wyruchowski, Sr., who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Arthur John Wyruchowski, Jr., and sister-in-law, JoAnn Wyruchowski.
Throughout his life, Jim brought steady dedication to the work before him, holding many positions that reflected both diligence and reliability. Among the roles he valued most were his early work at a local cemetery near Chicago, working security at Woodfield Mall in Illinois, and serving as a Paraprofessional at Conant Schools in Illinois—each one carried out with the quiet pride of a man who believed in showing up, doing the job well, and serving others faithfully.
On December 18, 2000, Jim married Sandra (Boll), whom he met while working at JCPenney. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Boll). Also surviving are children: James Wyruchowski, Jr., Jacqueline (Mike) Pericolosi, Julie (Tadeu "Ted") Leite and Robert (Lisa) Komorous; and 7 Grandchildren: Josephine (Sage Burland) Kirschner-Wyruchowski, Andrielly (Archie Ju) Talone, Brandon (Ashley Florek) Pericolosi, Matheus Talone, Jackson (Kate) Pericolosi, Giovanna Talone and Grayson Pericolosi.
Jim was known for his faith in God and his love for the Lord. He was a member of Freeway Church in Albion, MI, where his devotion found a spiritual home and steady expression. He also found joy in music and dancing, and he had a deep, enduring love for trains—especially in collecting model trains and belonging to multiple train organizations—interests that reflected the care, patience, and constancy with which he approached life.
Jim will be remembered for a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a faithful heart.
