Lydia Ann Smith

surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in 1954 to Milton and Ulla Hakes in Lake

Charles, Louisiana. In 1983 she married Lowell D. Smith who survives.

She was a Sales Clerk for Darling & Sons Ace Hardware in Marshall for 8 years & Addison Products

in Jonesville she then worked for Homer Shell, Lonnie’s Grocery Store and Progressive

Dynamics. Lydia attended West Eckford Missionary Church, enjoyed sewing, bowling, bird’s

and all animals, being with her Schnauzer’s (her puppies),enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending

time with her family and friends.

Husband- Lowell Smith of Homer

Daughter- Heather (David) Martin of Ceresco

Mary Ann (Michael) Kempker of New Berlin, WI

Shelby Lynne Smith of Jackson

Amber Cope of Coldwater

Son- Christopher Bradshaw of Coldwater

Brothers- Rolf (Elaine) Hakes of Georgia and

Mike (Meagan) Hakes of Alabama

Her family at Darling & Sons Ace Hardware from Michigan

She was preceded in death by her parents.

According to her wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the West

Eckford Missionary Church, 19697 F Drive South & 19-1/2 Mile Rd, Marshall, Michigan

49068 with Rev. David Nichols officiating.
