Raymond Le Roy Kramer, age 83, died on September 5, 2026. He was born on March 2, 1943, in Marshall, Michigan, to Fred J. and Amelia (Wolff) Kramer. Raymond graduated from Marshall High school in 1960. A longtime resident of Marshall, Michigan, he built a life marked by steady devotion to family, service, and work well done.
Raymond married Patricia Skutt in 1965, and together they shared a life grounded in commitment and care. He was the proud father of one daughter, Kim Kramer.
With the quiet strength of a man who believed in showing up and doing the job right, Raymond worked at Eaton's Corporation in Marshall, Michigan, as a machinist from 1966 to 1994. He served his community as a bus driver for Marshall Public Schools taking children to and from the Vo-Ed Center. He also served four years in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, carrying that same sense of duty into every season of his life.
In his personal time, Ray found enjoyment in hunting and fishing, and he generously lent his time and effort helping with his wife Pat’s custom drapery business, “Custom Stitchery.” Whether at work, in service, or at home, he was someone others could rely on, consistent, capable, and hardworking.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Kramer (Bryan Dean); granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Brian) Fry; grandson, Loren Needham and five great-grandchildren, as well as, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents, Fred and Amelia Kramer; brothers, Alfred, Kenneth, Walter, and Fredrick; sister, Martha Hoffman; nieces, Patricia Hoffman-Mead and Karen Nickols, and friends, Michael Mileski and John Harris.
The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Senior Care and Rehab Center for the care and compassion for Raymond while he was in their care.
