My dear Jordan, as four years approaches that you have been gone, I’m not finding any peace. I hope that you have. My tears are plenty, my heart is broken, and I cannot move forward without you here. Baseball has started and it breaks my heart to watch it without you. Days are long, and nights even longer as I’m up all night long. Wishing you were here is an understatement. Jordan, as your 24th birthday approaches, I’m finding myself so lost without you here. My eyes are heavy and not dry.  Life seems to be losing meaning without you in it, but I’m finding ways to go on. Joey has helped me so much as have your aunts and gee and Peepa. I’m very lucky to have them!! I just sit here and wish you would come home. I’m struggling still so much and it’s not getting any easier!! It’s getting much harder as time passes!! I love you so much and miss you so much it just hurts!!

The days are not getting easier. You are getting further and further away. I feel as If my memories are fading. I can't hear you anymore, and it's killing me inside. Joey and I miss you terribly.  I will miss you so very much...you were a wonderful nephew and I am honored to have watched you grow up into such a fine young man. We were very close, and I will always treasure the years of memories that we shared.
 Whether we were wrestling around, throwing a baseball back and forth, you kicking my butt in video games, fishing, or just hanging out and talking, we had a special bond that I will carry with me always.
 You were always so caring, warm and loving with everyone and we were always able to open up to each other through any circumstance without judgement. I have not kept in touch with Jordan since we were at Bridle Path together, but I will always remember his kindness and joy for life. I will never forget him making a heart out of beads for one of the girls in our class or him singing "I believe I can fly" as loud as he could as he ran and leapt towards the gym bars at recess. He didn't quite catch them, but he kept on smiling and laughing as he fell and dusted himself off. My heart goes out to all of Jordan's family and friends. I may only remember him as a little boy, but he certainly was extraordinarily special.
