Clarence James Anderson

July 4, 1916 to September 24, 1964

Funeral Services were held Monday September 28, 1964 at 2:00 pm at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home, Knoxville, Iowa. Burial followed the funeral service in the Coal Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

C.J. was born to Walter and Anna Anderson July 4, 1916 at home in Summit Twp, Marion County Iowa. He was the oldest of 5 sons born to Walter and Anna. He attended school in the one room school house near his parents farm in rural Knoxville Iowa in Marion County. He worked his parent farm until young adulthood.

He married Beulah Bell Agnes See on May 18, 1938 in Fairfield Iowa. The couple had four daughters and one son. C.J. and Beulah worked their own farm just West of C.J.'s parents farm for some 20 years until the farm was sold to the government to make way for the Red Rock Dam. Following the sale of the family farm, C.J. worked for the Ford garage in Knoxville and later until his death he worked for Richey's Gravel Pit just 5 miles from their home in rural Knoxville.

C.J. loved the outdoors and all it had to offer; hunting, fishing, trap shooting and camping. He took many trips to enjoy his hobbies, as well as many family trips to California to visit his brother Lee and his family. In his last years his favorite weekend activity was taking Beulah to his trap shooting competitions.

C.J. was dedicated to his wife and family and worked hard to provide a good life and home for them. He was honest and straight forward. He enjoyed life, family and friends and lived his life to the upmost.
