Gabby was born in Des Moines, IA on August 15, 2000, to Corey Lorenz and Gina (Miller) Lorenz, and was welcomed by her big sister Anna Lorenz. She arrived with her two triplet sisters Claire Lorenz and Mia Lorenz. Gabby lived in Ames, Iowa, graduating with honors from Ames High School in 2019. She went on to attend classes at Des Moines Area Community College.
She started her first job at Fareway Grocery Store in 2016, then started at Mary Greely Medical Center in 2024, first in Distribution Services, and then as a Pharmacy Technician. She took pride in her work and demanded excellence of herself in service of those who depended on her.
Gabby loved her family and her pets. She loved a broad range of music and was an accomplished saxophone player. She loved spending time with her sisters and her friends. Making everyone laugh with her sharp wit was one of the great joys of her life. She found wonder in little moments like seeing a good dog or sharing a funny video. She was thoughtful, generous, and kind.
A memorial service will be held at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames, Iowa on Monday, August 31st from 2pm to 4pm. Gabby will be buried privately with the immediate family. No post-funeral gathering is scheduled. You are welcome and encouraged to find your own ways to support each other after the service. Please accept our gratitude for coming and do your best to find fellowship with each other.
