IN THE CARE OF
Pleasant Valley Memorial Park
Keven Romero, 27, was called to heaven to be with the Lord on March 20, 2016 after 20 years of battling duchenne's muscular dystrophy (DMD). He was born on November 24, 1988, in the city on Fairfax, VA. He is the son of Maria Felix Diaz-Romero and Manuel Orlando Diaz. He was the youngest of three and was adored by his two older sisters.
Keven had a humble upbringing and he loved his large family as he grew up with more than 10 first cousins. He was an avid fan of WWE, his favorite wrestler was John Cena, and whenever he watched movies you could always count on him to be rooting for the underdog and believed that good always triumphs over evil. Growing up Keven loved the outdoors and going to the park and holds many memories playing with his sisters and his cousins. He's even had the opportunity to travel abroad to visit El Salvador. No doubt Keven had a wonderful childhood and was constantly surrounded by his loving family. Keven was diagnosed with DMD while he was about seven years old, but Keven stayed strong, stayed humble and his faith grew stronger. To his family he will always be remembered as a motivator, a hero, and the most loving and purest of hearts.
Keven was preceded in death by his grandmother Susana Candelaria Jimenez de Morales. He is survived by his parents Maria Diaz- Romero, Orlando Diaz and his step-father Jose Luis Apodaca; his sisters Susana Dilella and Adriana Diaz; two brother in laws Jesse Dilella and Alex Zelaya; two nieces Melany Dilella and Maya Naves; three nephews Dominick Dilella, Elijah Dilella and Christopher Zelaya-Diaz; and several aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever cherish his memories.
