Amanda G. Goodwin, 76, of Apex, died Tuesday, February 18, 2013 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Chatham Co on July 15, 1936 to Robert L. Goodwin, Sr. and Margaret Johnson Goodwin. Mrs. Goodwin, not having met a stranger in the world, was a good friend to everyone. She loved everybody.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Pollard and husband, Dennis of Clayton; grandchildren: Amanda Wheeler, Anne Balance, and Paul Michael Pollard; great grandchildren Alliana, Samantha, Austin, and Nicholas.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the chapel of Apex Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bells Baptist Church Cemetery.
