Ann Potter Sokol

John, her husband, predeceased her on October 14, 2014.

Ann was retired from the payroll department of AT&T. She was active within the lives of her children and her community. The children attended St. Bartholomew’s Catholic School. Ann and John were active members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and St. John’s Episcopal Church for many years.

Ann and John relocated from Yonkers, NY to Apex, NC in 2004.

Ann and John were married on May 27, 1961 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Getty Square, Yonkers, NY.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Janet Burlew (Fuquay-Varina, NC), Lynne Dehnel and husband Keith (Apex, NC), and Laura Sokol (Apex, NC); her son, John Sokol and wife Dina (Trumbull, CT); eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Gary, and Rachel Burlew, Kyle, Thomas, and Kelly Dehnel, and Louis and John Sokol; and one great-grandaughter, Leah.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Duchynski-Cherko Funeral Home in Yonkers, NY.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Yonkers, NY.

Burial to follow at Kensico Cemetery in Vanhalla, NY.
