Arnold Kent Townsend

Mr. Townsend joined the Army, was placed in the Berlin, Germany in the Intelligence Division, and later he was honorably discharged. He went on to attend East Carolina University, and studied Mathematics and Physics. Arnold loved writing, 3D animation, and crossword puzzles. His greatest passion was for computers and technology. He worked for Northern Telecom and did software development work as a contractor in IT.

Arnold is survived by his son, Jason Townsend; his daughters, Marsha Townsend and Amy Townsend; his brother, Steve Townsend; his sister, Anita Townsend and his brother, Terry Townsend; his grandsons, Ethan Winters and Arden Gross.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Townsend.

The family of Arnold will hold an inurnment at Floyd Memorial Cemetery, 1591 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC 28340, at a later date.
