Arthur Wells Garvin

Arthur Wells Garvin, 78, of Apex, NC passed away peacefully on July 24, 2022, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Art grew up in Jacksonville, FL, and relocated to Raleigh with his wife and young children. He spent most of his career at CP&L (Duke Energy) working in information technology for 30 years. In retirement, Art was passionate about volunteering with Carpenters for Christ, doing mission work both locally and globally, and about the ALS Association. He loved cheering for the Atlanta Braves and traveling with friends and family. Art will be dearly missed and remembered as a kind, gentle man who always supported his friends and family.

Art was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, and mother, Agnes Flood. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Reifsnider; son Mike Garvin and daughter in law Jo Garvin; grandchildren Ian and Amelia Garvin, brother Everett Garvin, sister Mary Helen Osborn, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at The Shepherd's Church in Cary, NC on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 6:30 PM.
