Arthur "Roy" Tafoya was born November 6, 1935 in Duarte, California to parents Gertrude and Tremelio Tafoya.
Roy lived a full and fruitful life in which he was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his progeny as well as his siblings Bill Tafoya, Eddie Tafoya, and Nadine Cantero.
During his younger years, Roy served his country as a soldier in the United States Army from 1957-1960. He was a paratrooper assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, NC and remained a lifelong patriot
Roy was a tenacious traveler, often driving across the country on a whim to see the sights and visit those he cared about. His love of adventure, robust personality, and keen wit were a constant source of joy for his family and friends.
Though his passing weighs heavily on the hearts of his many loved ones, the memories of Roy's unmatched sense of humor and distinctive mannerisms continue to uplift the world he leaves behind.
