Ashley Nicole Fite

Ashley was born on June 30, 1998 in Charleston, SC to Todd N. FIte and the late Melissa M. McLain. She was a current student at Holly Springs High School and planned to graduate Saturday. Her future was to continue her love for the military as she had already joined the Marines.

Ashley is remembered for her contagious smile. She always was happy and had a kind word to speak to everyone. Always wanting to help people even when she could walk away. Ashley made it a point to give you a hug and make you smile when you couldn’t. She had a supportive and generous soul. The light will not shine as bright without her here.

Ashley departed with her mother, Melissa Mitchell McLain. She is survived by her father, Todd N. Fite, of Four Oaks, NC; step-mother, Doris Fite, of Carthage, NC; sister, Caitlin Crosson, of Apex, NC; step-sisters: Ciera Jirouch and Samantha Lewis, of Carthage, NC; great-grandmother, Florine Goodwin, “Grandini”, maternal grandparents: Alfred and Diana Mitchell, of Apex, NC; paternal grandparents: Peggy Fite and Paul Goodwin, of Cary, NC; aunts and uncles: Kent and Laura Fite, Four Oaks, NC; Cheri Fite, of Rocky Mount, NC; Todd and Wendy Mitchell, of Apex; cousins: Aaron and Colin Fite, Four Oaks, NC; Matthew and Ethan Mitchell and Austin and Tyler Edwards, all of Apex, NC.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Ashley's memory to the Union Pines NJROTC - 1981 Union Church Road - Cameron, NC 28326.

Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Apex Funeral Home. Memorial Services for Ashley and her mother, Melissa will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 am at Olive Chapel Baptist Church in Apex.
