Barbara was born November 30, 1946 in Port Chester, NY to the late Walter and Elizabeth Richardson Kelly. She was a graduate of NC State University and worked in the accounting field. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother to all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shurtleff.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Doug Shurtleff, Ted Shurtleff (Elizabeth), and Craig Shurtleff (Stephanie); six grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Aubrey, Aiden, Brandon, and Eric.
A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. All are welcome. Following the service family will be welcoming friends at Bass Lake Ale House, 124 Bass Lake Road, Holly Springs, NC 27540 to share memories of Barbara.
