Ben rejected passivity, expected greater rewards, accepted responsibility, led courageously, and loved unconditionally.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Judy Oakley, brother, Josh Oakley, and sister, Abigail Oakley.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Wednesday, July 10 2013 in the fellowship hall of Apex Baptist Church, 110 S. Salem St. Apex. A celebration of Ben’s Life will begin at 4:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery.
