Bonnie was a person that definitely impacted your life if you had the honor of knowing her. She became my friend from the first day I walked into Rodneys Sign Co. ... we hit it off right away with a lot in common. She was fun and crazy and a devoted friend.... she loved her family and friends beyond comparison! We shared so many laughs and so many great times and many great heart to heart talks. I will miss her more than I can say! I am heartbroken to lose such a special friend! My thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family as I know how much she meant to your lives as well! I love you all!

When Bonnie found out that I was in the hospital for testing, she immediately said that she would bring lunch for me. Bonnie was a great cook & she brought me a spread fit for a king. There was country style steak with gravy, squash, & a variety of other vegetables. I always told Bonnie that her excellent cooking had made me well.
I will truly miss this wonderful woman. She was a great neighbor and special friend.

Bonnie & I were neighbors on Boxwood Lane. We walked together for many years. One evening, we were on the greenway talking about how we couldn't know whether we'd live thru the night, but that we could know if we were going to heaven or not. That night, Bonnie believed that Jesus died in her place for her sins. She put her trust in Him for eternal life.

Bonnie was a sweet & caring friend who enjoyed her family. Her sisters were a precious part of her life. Cooking was one of her favorite activities & she blessed many with her country cooking. Every day on her way home from work, she'd go to Food Lion to pick up what she was going to make for dinner. She'd often talk about what she had cooked for Danny & Michael as we walked.

16 yrs ago, we spent a Sunday together at the hospital when Bonnie & her doctor thought she was miscarrying. We had prayed & put the situation in God's hands when the doctor came in smiling. He told us that he'd checked the test results one more time before prepping for the procedure to scrape out her uterus. He'd read the results incorrectly so she was not miscarrying after all! There was such rejoicing & Adam was born 6 months later!

As ALS brought losses into her life, there would be times of sadness, yet Bonnie continued to trust in God's grace & strength. She knew she could depend on Him. Her one repeated concern was that her family would love & support one another after she had passed into Jesus' presence.

Our family has known her family for practically all of our lives. She is the kindest and most open hearted person you would ever meet. My condolences to the family and I know that she is dancing a jig in heaven and we will all rejoice together.

Many memories of and with Bonnie flood my mind, One of my absolute favorites is many years ago at a Christmas party when we danced the night away. She has such a joy and had so much love. Always giving to and thinking of others. May we all be inspired to do and be better because of her. Peace and love to her family in these difficult times and the days to come. She will be greatly missed. A wonderful woman, gone but never forgotten.

My mother always said Bonnie's name suited her well, she was a nutt. Bonnie always had a great story to tell, and a captivating laugh. She was always ready to help someone in need, and truly meant it when she said I love you. She was authentic in all her endeavors. She will be missed by all that loved her. Sending love and light to Danny , and the Combs family. -love April , JW and family
