Brandon James Filip

Brandon James Filip, 36, formerly of Blacksburg, VA, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2015. Born on July 27, 1979 in Allentown, PA; he was the son of Candace Filip, of Apex and James William Filip, of Roanoke, VA.

Brandon graduated from Blacksburg High School, Blacksburg, VA and was an avid Virginia Tech fan. He enjoyed going to Hokie games, riding his motorcycle, Metallica music, going to the gym and being with his family.

He was currently working at Village Cleaners in Cary.

Brandon was a loving son, brother and uncle. He will be remembered by his mother and father; by his younger sister and brother-in-law: Meaghan and Mark Sapon, of Charlottesville and by the light of his life, little pal and nephew: Mason.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday evening at 6 pm at Apex Funeral Home, with family to receive friends following until 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made towards research and treatment of Psoriatic Arthritis at www.psoriasis.org/psoriatic-arthritis or the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
