

Brent Nolan Clark was born on June 13, 1938 in Washington, DC to LaVon Rachel Bates Clark and Weston Robinson Clark. He passed away peacefully on January 21, 2015 in his home in Holly Springs, NC due to complications from Advanced Parkinson’s Disease.
He enjoyed growing up in College Park, MD with his younger brother, Kirk Robert Clark. They enjoyed taking many family trips around the United States.
Brent graduated from BYU. He served a mission in England for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After, he joined the Air Force Reserves and worked at the Library of Congress as a research analyst.
On August 1, 1968, Brent and Vicky Lee Covey, of Smithfield, Utah married in the Logan, UT LDS Temple. In 1970, Brent was hired by the US Postal Service as an economist. In 1972, they bought their first home in Silver Spring, MD. Brent enjoyed learning all the skills needed to improve and maintain their home. In 1984, Brent and Vicky, along with their six children, moved to a home in Darnestown, MD, where they spent many happy years. Brent especially loved making memories with his children exploring the woods behind their home. In September 2012, Brent and Vicky moved once more to Holly Springs, NC, to be neighbors to three of their children and fifteen of their grandchildren.
Brent was a faithful member of the church and served in many callings throughout his life. He sang in the Mormon Choir of Washington DC and served a mission with his eternal companion in the Family and Church History Mission.
Brent is survived by his loving wife, Vicky; six children and twenty-seven grandchildren: Brenda and Frank Candland and children: Franklin, Dallin, James, Victoria, Rebecca and Grace; Michele and Frank Willford and children: Clark, Camry, Cynthia, Nolan, Elizabeth and Charlotte; Cynthia and Steve Heath and children: Trevor, Lillie, Katie, Nathan and Baby Girl due in April; Mark and Sally Clark and children: Noah, Joshua, Spencer and Ethan; Kevin and Jordan Clark and children: Henry and Oliver; and Daniel and Julie Clark and children: Rachel, Esther, Sarah and Andrew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 2-3 pm at the Apex Stake Center (next to the Raleigh North Carolina Temple), with funeral services to begin at 3 pm and conclude at Holly Springs Cemetery.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10 am at the Kentlands Ward Building – 16 Kent Garden Circle in Gaithersburg, Maryland and on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:30 pm at the Pioneer Valley Lodge - 2351 North 400 East in Logan, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Humanitarian Services - LDS Philanthropies.org - 15 East South Temple Street - JSMB2E - Salt Lake City, UT 84150 in memory of Brent Clark of Holly Springs, NC.
