Brian Scott Ladd of Brevard, NC passed away on Wednesday, 11/26/25 at the age of 76. He was born on 10/10/49 in Winchester, MA In his elementary school years his family moved to Apalachin, NY. There he finished school and became an eagle scout. After high school he attended Cornell.

Brian worked many different jobs throughout his life. Whether he was in house construction, being an aide to the elderly, or a handyman; he was known for being creative and wanting to help people. He loved to work with wood and was known for creating mobiles or other pieces of art out of wood and metal.

Brian was actively involved in AA. He attended daily meetings for over 20 years while maintaining his sobriety. He was a part of a strong AA community no matter what chapter he was located at. He was known for adding spiritually to meetings and always offering guidance.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Scott Ladd, and his mother, Rae Prentiss Ladd.

He is survived by his brother, Bruce Ladd, his daughters, Aris Henderson and Heather Vogel, and son Jamie Ladd. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Colton and Boden Ladd, Adrianna Alexander, and Anja and Kira Vogel

Brian did not request a funeral but instead would welcome you to find ways of remembering him in your everyday life. Whether that is meeting with friends to talk about cherished memories or noticing small ways he changed your everyday life. His physical presence may no longer be here but his spiritual energy will remain.
