Carole Marie Kish

Carole was born May 4, 1937 in Chicago, IL to the late Wilson and Evelyn Palmer. She was a local downtown business owner in Apex for many years. Along with her husband, Andy she operated That Unique and Wonderful Place. Carole was instrumental in the founding of the Apex Merchant Association. As part of revitalizing downtown Apex she pioneered events like Christmas on Salem Street and Today and Yesteryear Festivals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy, and brother, Ken Patel.

Carole is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Tim Wilkens; sons, Mike Wilms, Rick Bennot and Bill Bennot; and ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
