He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Stone Tope; sons: Charles Robert Tope and wife, Margaret Knott Tope of Atlanta, GA, and John Jeffrey Tope, MD and wife Jacqueline of Raleigh; daughters: Mary Elizabeth Tope, DMD and Catherine Ballard Tope both of Ridge Spring, SC. Mr. Tope is also survived by his grandchildren: Charles Robert Tope, Jr, Mark Stone Tope, and Stephanie Nicole Buice and husband Jeffrey Buice and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex. A funeral service will begin at 3 pm in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Apex Cemetery.
