Charlotte Hinton

Charlotte Cameron Hinton, 82, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021 at her home in Apex after a recent illness. Born on January 5, 1939 in Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Cameron and sister of the late Doug Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William “Bill” Hinton.

Charlotte graduated from Erwin High School followed by Campbell College. She relocated to Raleigh where she was employed with North Carolina State University in the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service for 35 years in Office Administration.

Charlotte was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Her sweet, kind spirit stood out to all those who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, beach vacations, finding gems at her favorite thrift store and just talking and getting to know people.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Beverly Hinton Davis and husband Scott, of Raleigh and Susan Hinton Yost, of Apex; grandchildren: Cameron and wife Hannah, Matthew and Avery; great granddaughter Ellie; sister-in-law: Marie Cameron; niece: Leslie and husband Bobby; nephew: Scott Cameron and by other family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 6-8pm at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Wake Memorial Park.

The family would also like to thank Transitions Hospice Care for their support and caring during the last two weeks.
