Dawn Helen Justice

Dawn was the kindest soul, but above all, she was someone who found great joy in seeing new places, meeting new people, sharing experiences, and making memories with the ones she loved.

Dawn had a genuine love for serving others. This was most apparent through her work. She spent the majority of her career as a flight attendant for American Airlines, dedicating nearly thirty years to a profession that allowed her to care for people while seeing the world. She loved flying, she loved traveling, and she loved the people she met along the way. Her career gave her the opportunity to experience places that many people only dream of visiting, but the people she encountered throughout those years were just as meaningful as the places themselves.

After her time as a flight attendant, Dawn continued her career as a sales representative for 1-800-Pack-Rat. In many ways, the work reflected something that had always been true about her: she genuinely enjoyed helping people. Whether she was caring for passengers, assisting customers, or simply being there for a friend or family member, Dawn had a natural instinct to serve others. She had a natural compassion for others and found fulfillment in being someone they could turn to, always willing to offer her time, her help, and her heart.

That instinct extended far beyond her professional life. Dawn was deeply devoted to her friends and family, and especially to her son, Vincent.

For Dawn, caring for others was never an obligation. It was simply part of who she was. She found fulfillment in being there for the people she loved, whether they needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply someone they could count on. Their happiness brought her happiness, and caring for them was one of the greatest joys of her life. She gave so much of herself to the people around her, rarely asking for anything in return.

And perhaps that is why travel meant so much to Dawn. She loved seeing the world, but she also loved the human connections that came with it. After thirty years of flying with American Airlines, she had seen countless places and met countless people. Yet wherever she went, she carried the same generosity and warmth that defined her at home. For Dawn, the destination was only part of the journey. The people she shared it with were what made it special.

A memorial service to honor her life will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Apex Funeral Home followed by a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with refreshments.
