Dennis Denny Eugene Myers

Dennis Eugene Myers passed away due to complications from ALS. He was born on August 1, 1951, in Lancaster, PA. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Dennis was married to the love of his life, JoAnn for 34 years. He is also survived by his daughter Sara Oakley (husband Terry), son Scott Myers (wife Susan), mother Stella Myers, sister Lynn Kann (husband Doug, nephew Steve), and father-in-law Bill Kauffman, as well as 2 granddaughters – Ava (2) and Evie (1). He will aslo be missed by his dog Bella. He is preceded in death by his father Enos Myers.

Denny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially watching his granddaughters play. He also volunteered with the Wake County Special Olympics. He was a graduate of NCSU and worked for IBM until his retirement in 2009.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Apex Funeral Home, 550 West Williams, Apex, NC 27502, at 11:00am. Family will receive visitors following the service.
