

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Donald “Don” Leo Clark, age 61, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, while in Kansas for a family event. Born September 9, 1964, in Dallas, TX; he was the son of Robert Earl Clark and Sylvia (Wilson) Clark.
Don attended Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas, TX and graduated college from the University of Texas- Arlington with a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A in Business Administration and Management. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. His degree led to a career in business that took him through various roles and companies. Some of those included an IT Consultant with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Technical Consultant with McCormick through Red Global, Director of Engineering at GSK, Director of IT at IQVIA, and a Global Service Owner at Intel. He enjoyed volunteering for organizations like The Habitat for Humanity through his workplace.
Don was known for his big heart, kind spirit, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He was a devoted son, a cherished brother, and a true friend to many. His warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A passionate sports fan, Don could always be found cheering on his favorite teams, especially the Carolina Hurricanes, the Dallas Cowboys and his beloved college football Longhorns on Saturdays. Whether it was game day excitement or just time spent with family and friends, he brought energy and enthusiasm to every moment. His sudden passing leaves a deep void in the lives of those who loved him, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he has touched with his compassion, loyalty and love for life.
Don is lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years: Courtney Leigh Clark, of Holly Springs; and by their three children Joseph A. Clark, Katherine G. Clark and William R. Clark. His siblings: Michael Clark and his wife Cecilia, Thomas Clark and his wife Shain, David Clark and his wife Marianne, Beverly Hill and her husband Kevin, and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded by his parents Bob and Sylvia Clark.
A Time of Receiving Family & Friends will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Apex Funeral Home in Apex, North Carolina. A Private Family Gathering will be held in Texas.
