Donna Sue Bevier, 73, of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 27, 1952, in Jasper, Indiana, to Dan and Carol Vonderheide, who lovingly survive her.
Donna worked for many years as a receptionist at WakeMed Cary Hospital, where she greeted patients and visitors with her trademark warmth and kindness. Earlier in her career, she enjoyed her time at Miller-Mott in Cary, NC and other workplaces in Jasper, Indiana, where she built lifelong friendships.
She was always proud of her family roots and cherished her visits home to Indiana to spend time on the farm and catch up with relatives. Donna adored her grandchildren — Ayden French (Lilli), Maya French, Ian French, Avery Claire Bevier, and Owen Bevier — who were truly the light of her life. She loved crocheting special blankets and toys for them, finding joy in every stitch.
Donna was known for her impeccable taste and her thoughtful gift-giving; she had a way of making everyone feel seen and special. Her positivity, humor, and loving voice will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, John Bevier; her children, Mark Bevier (Kim), Jason Bevier (Mary Cates), and Jennifer Munchick-Bevier (Jill); her beloved grandchildren; her parents, Dan and Carol Vonderheide; and her siblings, Gerald Vonderheide (Glenda) , Kathy Vonderheide (Steve), and Randy Vonderheide (Beth).
Donna will be remembered for her gentle nature, caring spirit, and deep devotion to her family. Her presence filled every room with love, and her legacy will forever be felt in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
