Dr. William Clearon “WC” Mills, Jr. died on Tuesday, July 03, 2012. Mr. Mills was born in Wake Co, NC on October 24, 1925 to William Clearon Mills, Sr and Daisy Wagner Mills. He was a retired professor from NCSU after serving 30+ years in the Dept. of Poultry Science.
Mr. Mills is survived by his wife Mettie Jones Mills; daughter, Sherry Mills Dean; grandson, Coldan “Cole” Mills Dean; brothers; J. Talmadge Mills and Raymond N. Mills.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex, NC.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2012 at Green Level Baptist Church,8509 Green Level Church Rd, Cary, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
