Elizabeth Jane Jones
June 27, 1924 – April 10, 2018
Elizabeth Jane (Flock) Jones, died on April 10, 2018 at the age of 93 at home in Fuquay Varina, NC. Formerly of Rahway, NJ, Bridgewater, NJ, and Basking Ridge, NJ.
Elizabeth was born on June 27, 1924 in Allentown, NJ to Mollie Alma (West) Flock and William Earl Flock. She was a graduate of Mercer Hospital School of Nursing. Following her graduation she served in the Army Nurse Corp.
She married Frank Wesley Jones on October 25, 1947
• Claire Deborah (Jones) Christian and her sons o Michael Andrew Christian and his wife Erica, and their daughter Keira o Mark Adam Christian and his children Katie, Isobel and Jayson o Matthew Alan Christian and his wife Heather, and their children Maseone and Mila • Frank William Jones and his wife Angela, and their daughter o Brittany Jones • Joyce Elizabeth (Jones) Riley and her husband Jack, and their daughters o Elizabeth Jane (Riley) Bailey and her husband Travis, and their children Addison and Chase o Janette Christine (Riley) Austin and her husband Travis, and their daughter Ava • Christine Ann (Jones) Rand and her husband David, and their children o Victoria Elizabeth Rand o David (Trey) Duncan Rand III o Joshua Wesley Rand
Elizabeth was an active member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution during which she served as Regent of Matachshoning Rebecca Cornell Chapter and on several state committees.
She also served as an elder and a deacon at First Presbyterian Church Rahway, NJ.
She was predeceased in death by her husband Frank Wesley Jones, sister Carolyn Joyce Duryea and brother William Earl Flock, Jr.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck in Dutch Neck, NJ on May 5, 2018 at 10:00 am followed by an interment of her ashes at the church cemetery and a brief reception in the church hall. Join us by wearing pink in her memory.
