Elizabeth Patricia Morris

Elizabeth Patricia Morris, "Betty Pat" to family, was called home to Our Lord and Savior September 16, 2026. Born October 25, 1934 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Thaddeus and Patricia Smith fondly known as Big Daddy and Patsy. She was the eldest of four siblings. Her family relocated to the Washington D.C. area where she graduated from Immaculate High School. She went on to work at CIA as a secretary before she met and married H. Robert Morris in 1955. In her younger years they moved around following Bob’s career at Bell Atlantic.

Making friends everywhere she went she’s was in a bowling league, exercise and dance classes and monthly lunches with friends. Finally settling in Silver Spring, Maryland where they raised their children. After Bob’s passing she spent the last ten years at Waltonwood Independent Living in North Carolina near her son and daughter-in-law. Family and her Catholic faith were the most important aspect of her life. She often said being the mother of her four children was her greatest accomplishment. Elizabeth loved food, chocolate and ice cream being her favorite.

She was known to say it’s a good area if they have a Dairy Queen. She was an amazing cook and hosted all the family holidays. She even won a blue ribbon for her pecan pie at the county fair.

She is survived by her children Kathy Servary (Bruce), Sharon Jones (Bill), Sean Morris (Teresa), seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Bob Morris, daughter Patty Ann Morris, parents Thaddeus and Patricia Smith, brother Greg Smith, sister Sandy Borda and grandson Brent Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Waltonwood Independent Living at a future date and burial at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C.
