Eloy William Kennedy, affectionately known as Ken or Kenny, 91, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, June 11, 2015 at Rex Hospital. Born on December 29, 1923 in St. Cloud, Minnesota; he was the son of the late Julius Leo Kennedy and Josephine Pfeffer Kennedy.
Ken served honorably as a Medic in WWII after the invasion of Normandy. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Business Administration and went onto a long career with Goodyear, retiring as a Financial Director.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Rennie Kennedy and then by his wife, Bernice “Bunny” Kennedy in 2012. He is lovingly remembered by his step-daughter: Diane Manchester and her family in Apex; by a brother: Emmett “Jack” Kennedy, of St. Cloud, Minn.; and by other family and friends.
Private Services are being held in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church – 804 High House Road – Cary, NC 27513.
